Buy Persian Saffron [new crop] |
|
Persian saffron is the same as Iranian saffron and is globally renowned for its exquisite aroma, superb coloring-strength and delectable flavor. This Persian saffron is from the 2007 crop year, the latest crop available on the market. This year we are carrying only one grade of Iranian saffron, the Sargol grade, the highest grade of Iranian saffron. Sargol literary translated means top of the flower. In the context of saffron, it means that the saffron threads are cut from the very top where the threads are still red. For this reason, Sargol saffron threads are all red and short in length. Since we import our Persian saffron in bulk, we do all the packaging (U.S. FDA certified). Each order is measured generously, inspected carefully and packed individually by hand.
